Vashist Village

It is a beautiful village in Manali, flocked by the tourists for its natural hot springs and Buddhist temples. Most of the population of this village consists of Buddhists.

Solang Village

Rotang Pass

Hadimba Devi Temple

Manikaran

Known for its hot spring, Manikaran is located at a height of 1700 m. The hot spring is considered sacred because it is here that goddess Parvati, the consort of lord Shiva, lost her earring. It is considered auspicious to take a dip in this hot spring.

Arjun Gufa

There is a legend associated with this Gufa and it goes that Arjuna, one of the pandavas, meditated here to earn Pasupata Astra from Lord Indra.

Tourists can hire skiing equipments from HPTDC office at a reasonable price. However, indulge in this adventurous activity only if you are physically and mentally healthy.

How to Reach Manali

* Air
Nearest airport is at Bhuntar, 50 km away. Archana Airways and Jagson Airlines operate daily flights from Delhi to Kullu. U.P Airways flights are seasonal.
* Rail
Upto Chandigarh or Shimla from Delhi, or via Pathankot to Jogindernagar, and then bus transfers.
* Road
Himachal Tourism runs deluxe/ordinary buses and private operators are available during the season. The bus terminal is well organised and the ticket office is computerised. Deluxe buses are booked, and leave from, the tourist office, while semideluxe are handled from the bus terminal itself.

The nearest airport is Bhuntar, 52 km south of Manali. There are flights to Delhi via Shimla. The closest narrow-gauge railhead is at Jogindernagar, 135 km away. The closest broad-gauge railheads are Chandigarh (310 km) and Ambala (355 km). By road, the distance from Delhi via Mandi is 585 km, and from Shimla the distance is 270 km
